Office Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Our office we'll be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Day.

 

The Mayor is the Executive Officer of the City.
  • He enforces the ordinances and statutes
  • Provides any information regarding city affairs to the council
  • Calls special meetings when necessary
  • Supervises subordinate officers
  • Ensures efficient government of the City of North Vernon
  • Signs all bonds, contracts, and deeds of the City and licenses issued by the City
  • Appoints the heads of departments, boards, and many commission members
  • Conducts bi-monthly meetings
  • Helps prepare the city budget
